EP24 "Best Of 2007 Split with rattled.by.the.rush"

Happy 2008!

I'm kicking off the new year with a special split podcast!

Steven's rattled.by.the.rush podcast featured his favorite seven records from the past year.

I played my favorite seven as well and I hope you all enjoy it.

Here's the tracklisting for Episode 24...

zore show - Top 7 Of 2007

7. The Killers Shadowplay
from the album, Sawdust
*buy it
I know this is a b-side record, but it's fucking great. I might actually check out a proper Killers record because of it.

6. Gallows Will Someone Shoot That Fucking Snake
from the album, Orchestra Of Wolves
*buy it
This band is by far the best signing Epitaph Records have made in a loooong time.

5. The Arcade Fire The Well And The Lighthouse
from the album, Neon Bible
*buy it
Not as good as Funeral, but it sure was better than a lot of records I heard this year.

4. Against Me! Ocean
from the album, New Wave
*buy it
Sire debut. Sellouts? I don't fucking care about that. This record is well-written and honest.

3. Every Time I Die Pigs Is Pigs
from the album, The Big Dirty
*buy it
Grow a beard, buy this record.

2. Of Montreal She's A Rejector
from the album, Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer?
*buy it
Pop, dance, alternatively brilliance. I listened to this record all year long.

1. You Say Party! We Say Die! Poison
from the album, Lose All Time
*buy it
Fantastic live band, fantastic new album. I can't say fantastic enough when describing this band.
